How long are Oviedo council terms?
The mayor and council members are elected at large to two-year terms. The mayor and Group 1 seat are elected in odd years and Groups 2 through 4 in even years, and winners are sworn in at the first December meeting. Voters will decide charter amendments in November 2026 that would move to four-year terms.
