Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about how OpenCity covers Melbourne public meetings and civic data.
Where can I watch City of Melbourne, Florida council meetings?
Melbourne streams and archives its meetings on a Swagit portal, and publishes agendas and minutes through CivicClerk. OpenFlorida pulls both together into searchable meeting pages with transcripts and linked documents.
Does the City of Melbourne publish meeting minutes?
Yes. Melbourne is unusually good on this: minutes are published for a large share of its meetings alongside agendas, so its decision ledger goes well beyond what most Florida cities make available.
Is this the same as West Melbourne?
No. The City of West Melbourne is a separate municipality with its own council and its own meetings, and is not covered by this site.
