Vilano Beach New Year's Eve fireworks funding

The Vilano Beach Main Street executive director urged the council to restore the $35,000 fireworks funding, noting Vilano residents can't see the St. Augustine fireworks and that the area generates over $1.4 million in bed tax annually.

A Vilano Main Street board member questioned why only Vilano's fireworks were considered for cutting and suggested alternating years or recognizing the two events as entirely separate.
