Hurricane-recovery dock permitting fine

A Redington Beach town commissioner whose home was 99.6% destroyed by Helene described getting conflicting permit guidance — the county's contracted building department said no county permit was needed, then fined him $1,600 — and asked the board to waive the fine and consider beach residents still rebuilding.
