Summary

Impact analysis
A split could mess with your tax dollars and drive up the cost of running two separate local governments instead of one.
The folks leading the charge get a shot at shaping their own hyper-local government and tax rules.
Everyone else could end up paying more for basic city services while watching their community split right down the middle.
