New Haven canal restoration proposal

Presented a three-part, no-local-cost plan: drainage easements over the canal, a permanent conservation easement, and conveyance of a damaged lift station — funded by a $1.75 million FEMA grant plus a state appropriation. Urged staff to meet with him and get the projects on the county mitigation list before the December grant deadline.
