A Seminole County acquisition committee member praised Lake County's program, hailed the biodiversity she saw at Shelley/Chasteen, and urged protection of aquifer recharge areas.

Described the mile-long trail, native plants, eagle nest and wildlife, and suggested the home could serve as an environmental or community center for thousands of future nearby residents.

Co-owner of the nomination, she thanked staff, described the biology background behind the submittal, and noted at least 8,000 approved housing units within a few miles of the property.
