Department of Interior letter of support
The commission will consider signing onto a letter of support involving the federal Department of Interior, which manages the Timucuan preserve lands along the waterways.
Industrial parking ratio fix
A 2025 code change accidentally left distribution centers without enough required parking. The fix creates a range matching real traffic-engineering data.
Library content governance concerns
A public commenter urged the committee to reject library board reappointments over children's access to materials; the Library Director said only three or four review requests came in last year and none reached the board, but the Frazier reappointment was deferred anyway.
Quasi-judicial rezoning items erroneously referred
Four rezoning ordinances ended up on the Waterways agenda, but two are quasi-judicial matters outside the Commission's authority and will be discharged by the Council President. The other two wait for November 19.
Pottsburg Creek bid rejection
Construction bids for the Pottsburg Creek project were all rejected after a contractor flagged a problem in the bid advertisement. The project will be readvertised, adding some delay.
