Colonnade Business Center Warehouse Conversion & Rezone

Residential Corner-Lot Fence Setback Regulations
The city proposed updating Land Development Code rules regarding setbacks for fences on single- and two-family residential corner lots. The board voted to table the item for further review.
City Charter Review and Proposed Amendments
The city proposed removing the requirement for a public referendum when selling or leasing city-owned real property valued over $750,000. Commissioners supporting it cited public-private partnerships, while opponents warned it invites sweetheart deals and eliminates voter oversight on major public lands.
Administrative Plat Approvals and Code Alignment
The city is updating its land development code to allow staff to handle routine plat approvals, cutting down project review times in response to state law. This change shifts administrative burdens away from elected officials while keeping major site plan reviews under public scrutiny.
