Cultural Festival Bid
Summary
Daytona Beach is chasing the National Folk Festival, with local tourism bosses asking the city for official backing and cold hard cash to help lock it down. Landing this massive cultural shindig could be a huge win for local vibes and visitor numbers, provided the city commits the funds.

Impact analysis
The city will need to shell out initial funding pledges, but local businesses should see a nice bump in revenue from all the incoming tourists.
Local hotels, restaurants, and shop owners stand to make a killing off the flood of festival-goers.
Local taxpayers might take a minor hit if the festival's economic boost doesn't cover the city's upfront investment.
