Future Foundations — 55+ affordable homeownership community (FIT student design)
Description
A Florida Tech student team designed a 16-unit, one-bedroom homeownership community for adults 55 and older earning 50–80% of median income, on about 1.41 acres with 149 feet of road frontage on Rosa L. Jones Drive. It's only a concept at this stage — Habitat hasn't committed to building yet.
Impact summary
If it moves forward, it would add much-needed senior housing in Diamond Square, though soil testing, re-engineering and funding still have to happen.
