World Cup sponsorship for Lauderhill

The Lauderhill city manager explained the city would administer the $125,000, has signed agreements with three of 31 cities and expects more written commitments by June 2.

The Lauderhill Chamber of Commerce president described how 'Broward Welcomes the World' grew from city meetings, aiming to funnel World Cup tourism to inland cities and small businesses beyond a single event.

Lauderhill's vice mayor declined to give a full speech, simply thanking the commission for its patience and facilitation.
